Eliminating -mno-cygwin from gcc?

I would miss -mno-cygwin.  Gcc -mno-cygwin suppports symlinks, mingw
doesn't.

--host=i686-pc-cygwin --target=i686-pc-cygwin would be a lovely
replacement,
 so I wouldn't miss it for long.
