Installation does not complain, but no vi

You didn't install the vim package?

vi is not installed by default; you'll have to select it in setup.

It is under Editors as 'vim: Vi IMproved'.  If you have X installed,
you may want gvim, as well.

If you install vim, you will get a symlink for vi pointing to vim.
