gcc: installation problem, cannot exec 'cc1'

Hello,
   The file crt2.o is present in /usr/lib/mingw. But the error remains
the same.

Tom@toms-pc ~
$ gcc -mno-cygwin hello.c
/usr/bin/ld: crt2.o: No such file: No such file or directory
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

I also found that I get another error if I compile the program from
within the directory /usr/lib/mingw .See this:

Tom@toms-pc /usr/lib/mingw
$ gcc -mno-cygwin ~/hello.c
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lmingw32
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
