ls bug in snapshot 20070831

Hi All,
I have noted this strange result using 
snapshot 20070831 when no files match the pattern
 
$ ls -l *.p
-rw-r--r-- 1 ???????? ???????? 0 Dec  1  2006 *.p

previous version was correct
snapshot 20070813

$ ls -l *.p
ls: cannot access *.p: No such file or directory
