Essentially. See <http://cygwin.com/1.7/cygwin-ug-net.html#mount-table>.
Really though, if you want to live on the bleeding edge, you should watch
and review the cygwin-apps list. That's where information about 1.7 is
being disseminated for now, since that's the list for package maintainers
(and 'setup.exe' issues). These people need "early access" to make sure
their packages play well with 1.7. So there is allot of good information
about the upcoming (but not imminent) release of 1.7 on the cygwin-apps
list. But it's not a place for every interested party to ask about 1.7
and really, you should make sure you've really done your homework before
asking much about it here. It's "fine" if you're the kind of person that
just _has_ to have the latest and greatest but since 1.7 is not released
yet, I'm sure you can understand if this list doesn't dole out allot of
"support" for it yet. If you're not comfortable with the idea of needing
to hunt down information about 1.7 and living with its pre-release state,
then 1.7 is not for you.

And when will 1.7 be released you ask? Well no, I know you didn't ask that
but of course you were thinking it, weren't you? Or if not you, someone
reading this thread would be. The answer is... not yet. Not good enough?
How about not for a while? Still not enough? Well, sometime before the
end of 2008 for sure. Maybe! :-) So if you enjoy using software prior
to the release, there's still time. ;-)
