subversion and utf-8

Hi,
 
I'm running a just freshly updated cygwin 1.7 on vista64, and suffer from the utf-8 problem described for 1.5 at http://sourceware.org/ml/cygwin/2008-08/msg00536.html

You announced the stability of 1.7 for 11/2009 - can I hope that this issue will be fixed in the mean time?
