gcc does not execute - why ?

What does the following print?
gcc-3 -v test.c
Watch out for:
1) The output is called a.exe, not test.exe
2) "test" is a shell (sh, bash) built-in. If you create a test.exe and
the run test, it will run the built-in, not your test.exe
