QT 3.3.8 doesn't work for GUI

Has anybody noticed the problem with QT (qt3.3.8)? The GUI executive compiling with it doesn't work, I have to keep a copy of old qt3.3.4 to work. Also if you use "designer" which is part of qt3.3.8, it gives you error "Mutex lock faiture" and stops.
