Hi,

I'm trying to upload a file to an FTP server with wput.

I execute this command:

wput test.txt ftp://ftp.mozilla.org

I know I don't have write permissions to mozilla.org (I'm using it
only for illustration purposes).

But wput can't even connect to the server, and doesn't even get to the
authentication stage. This is my output:
$ wput test.txt  ftp://ftp.mozilla.org
--11:47:30-- `test.txt'
    => ftp://anonymous:xxxxx@63.245.208.138:21/test.txt
Connecting to 63.245.208.138:21... failed!
Waiting 10 seconds... Connecting to 63.245.208.138:21... failed!

I see this has been reported way back too:
http://sourceware.org/ml/cygwin/2007-12/msg00468.html

regards,
Francois
