You are correct, although I just ran setup yesterday and it said I was up
to date.

$ gcc-4 --version
gcc-4 (GCC) 4.3.4 20090804 (release) 1

>   $ cygcheck -c gcc4
>   Cygwin Package Information
>   Package              Version        Status
>   gcc4                 4.5.3-3        OK

$ cygcheck -c gcc4
Cygwin Package Information
Package              Version        Status

Evidently, setup somehow lost track that I had gcc-4 installed (confused).
