winmm.dll error 487 still there in 1.7.8

Fails with the 20110227 snapshot, too.

Unfortunately, I've rolled back to 1.7.7 and completed the "git svn
rebase --all" command so I could continue my work, so I don't have any
real way to test any future changes.
