Hello,
I tried the last (20121123) snapshot, it seems to work OK (although
i have a new "Resource temporarily unavailable" in /usr/bin/display, i
need to investigate this).
But the cygcheck executable does not work (now i'm back under plain
1.7.17):
% /usr/bin/cygcheck usr/bin/cygcheck.exe
(edited)\usr\bin\cygcheck.exe
D:\WINDOWS\system32\ADVAPI32.dll
D:\WINDOWS\system32\KERNEL32.dll
D:\WINDOWS\system32\ntdll.dll
D:\WINDOWS\system32\RPCRT4.dll
D:\WINDOWS\system32\Secur32.dll
D:\WINDOWS\system32\msvcrt.dll
D:\WINDOWS\system32\PSAPI.DLL
D:\WINDOWS\system32\USER32.dll
D:\WINDOWS\system32\GDI32.dll
cygcheck: track_down: could not find libgcc_s_sjlj-1.dll
cygcheck: track_down: could not find zlib1.dll
%
I also tried to recompile the distribution, as usual. This time i got
this message:
(edited...)/cygwin-snapshot-20121123-1/winsup/utils/cygcheck.cc:13:19: fatal error: stdio.h: No such file or directory
If i comment out the line "push @compiler, '-nostdinc' if $cxx;" in
ccwrap, the object files are ok but final link fails due to several
libraries missing.
Perhaps it is no longer supported to compile cygwin1.dll under XP any
more? I have all the packages installed (in particular, i have
i686-w64-mingw32-g++).
% uname -a
CYGWIN_NT-5.1 (edited) 1.7.17(0.262/5/3) 2012-10-19 14:39 i686 Cygwin

Regards,
Denis Excoffier.
