Emacs crashing on C-x C-g

It's been 3 hours and not a single flame.  Have the Editor Wars
actually died out?  Maybe there's hope for peace in the Middle East
too. ;-)

(Please interpret the above as an attempt at humor and not a plea
to restart debates on the best editor.)
