Hi Andrew,
I see most of the other platforms are using "gcc --shared"
instead of dllwrap. I suspect that just switching away from
dllwrap will improve the situation.

Postgresql is the only package, where I was forced to remove
debug information to have a running binary.

I will very happy to work on this change
