Why does df fail to stat CIFS shares?

No can do CVS here... I just did a "./configure && make", which seemed to
work (it built into x86_64_unknown_cygwin).

OK, so it's more involved than I'd hoped, I'll have to set up a test
installation then.  Anyway, time has ran out for today.
