Compilation of emacs25.1.50 (success story)

Dear all,
For your information:

I've just compiled

GNU Emacs 25.1.50.1 (x86_64-unknown-cygwin, GTK+ Version 2.24.30) of 2016-08-08

from

git clone -b master git://git.sv.gnu.org/emacs.git

("make" informed me about some missing devel libraries that I installed directly
from cygwin-"setup". No problem there.)

Emacs is starting fine and my config stuff is quite heavy but it runs fine.

The only issue I had with installing emacs was that the ownership of files could
not be changed:
Example line out of several hundreds:
chown: changing ownership of '/usr/local/share/emacs/25.1.50/lisp': Permission
denied

But that does not hurt much.

Thanks for cygwin and thanks for emacs!
I am very happy that I can use the command "horizontal-scroll-bar-mode" now in
cygwin-emacs!
(Note, ntemacs is no alternative for me because of the many dependencies on
cygwin I have.)

It would be great if emacs25 could be directly installed from cygwin-setup.
