ECLIPSE IDE NIOS II C/C++ compiler warnings

I am receiving these WARNING messages when trying to compile a NIOS II 
C/C++ project with Eclipse Indigo IDE

cygwin@cygwin.com*

I realize this version of Eclipse is from 2012.  Also which version of 
JAVA Runtime should I be using with Eclipse?
