All sparse file fixes available in cygwin-3_5-branch?

That would leave the 3.5-branch with BROKEN sparse file support

Well, lots of stuff does not work on 3.6 yet, so I am not sure whether
a 3.5.8 with fac7441835b00d3b9a8252538bcf54c441c3841e might be better
