ok, I tested 3.6.0-0.423.ga3863bfeb73f.

scp large_file foobar:
large_file                  100%  678MB   6.0MB/s   01:53

This looks really good now. With the last 3.5.7-1 it was impossible to 
copy the file to the same host.
