I know that has been one thing cygport desperately needs, and I've even 
admitted as much myself on several occasions.  The good news is that 
documentation using robodoc is now in progress in SVN trunk.

Although as a rule of thumb, lower-case variables are private and most 
upper-case variables are public, and functions beginning with 
underscores are private (as is often done in C).
